I had a dream last night that I was in a dangerous place
I was sweating in my own bed and tentacles reach was 4 leagues
My wings were bound and the earth was crumbling beneath my feet
I sought refuge in the first floating cottage I found
I was accosted by a strange man in a strange mask
He asked me where my kinsfolk were, I said I didn't know
When lights reminiscent of a better place than here lead me down a hall way with no color
There was a strange noise beckoning me
I opened the door to find them all dead piled in size order
A sprinkler head at the top of the pile sprayed their blood to every corner of the room
I closed the door and I walked away

The volcanic forests are overgrown
You don't understand, this is not what I came here for
If you just hold my hand, it will be ok
I've known you forever, but we still act like awkward strangers sometimes
The weather is honest and I never want this to end, and it never will
If you just hold my hand, it will be ok
I've told you whenever I'm with you that I get shaky sometimes
(I can't stop shaking, is this how it has to end?)
Make it stop
I remember the first time I spoke to you like it was yesterday
I asked you if you believed everything was worth it,
if the human race deserved our kindness, our forgiveness
You led me to a room filled with every kind of clock
You said:
"These clocks have hands that draw the maps to the treasure buried deep within all of us.
Without these maps we would be lost indefinitely
We are all we have and without ourselves we're nothing
We are all eachother is and without our hopes there's nothing."
The volcanic forests are overgrown
You don't understand, this is not what I came here for

Grab Your Own Bones

Did the little guy make it?
Did he even stand a chance?
Grab your own bones
I don't trust the forecast these days
Just look up; the truth is in the skies
You caught the light just right
Moments in time, forever on paper
Don't fall asleep with your head towards the ocean2x
Eat all your money, put a price on nothing
Nothing is ok; no need to pretent
My hands were left out, leaving them to spoil
Grab your own bones for protection, you'll need them
Grab your own bones for protection, they'll save you
I had a dream I was a spider on your leg
I was two countries with no suns
I was three men
And if we come to them, they'll leave spirits in our pockets
The spirits will make us rot
My hands are burning signs
Burning signs of the ghost that you left behind
I had a dream I was a spider on your leg
I was two countries with no suns
I was three men
And if we come to them, they'll leave spirits in our pockets
The spirits will make us rot
My hands are burning signs
Burning signs of the ghost that you left behind
Did the little guy make it?
Did he even stand a chance?
Grab your own bones

There are evil men standing in a circle in the middle of the woods
Before the clock strikes 10, give them your horses or give them your head
Don't mind me I'm just your ceiling keeping you dry and protected

Potential Snakes

I cut my own head off and drove my car into a lake
I left it up to god to call 911 (we are worthless)
Something strange happened here, this is a secret
Please help
I need something to wrap my stomach around
(Eat your own heart, it will make you much stronger)
I could eat a hospital and everything inside it
Please help
While my flesh is still on my bones
I will rot here in the cold
Small doses of mold keep me on my toes
I'm afraid this is not my home
I deserve this

It's tragic
We wasted it
It's tragic
We buried it
Don't have hope that your brakes will work, especially since last night
Don't have faith that your love will last, but while I'm here hold me tight
Don't have hope in other people
Don't have faith that things will work
Don't have hope in other people
We will all be disappointed
You're a shell of the ghost of your former self
Everyday we're haunting ourselves and we're turning a blind eye to the clock on the wall
We grew fast together
We're growing into something else
I used to know you
I used to be you
(one two ready sleep)
I'm not your father I'm the sky, I'm not your brother I'm the sea
And what you have become is the most poisonous thing I've ever seen
I burned the bodies
I collected
Now open your eyes, because everything will be alright
And if you fought back as often as you feel inadequate, and no one listens to a word you say
Maybe we'd stand a chance

You've got me wishing on the stars for a new fate.
And I want nothing more than to see you face down dead,
or rather laid safely in your bed.
Like the rabbit in the field, I am out on display
Oh they'll find me, they'll get me, they'll take my life away
Like the sparrow to the fox, it's not easy being prey
He pulled at my feathers, but I safely got away.
I fall in poisonous dreams from which I can't be free.
The shadows under my eyes grow longer as I look towards the sky,
"Is today the day I die?"
I fall in treacherous seas in which I cannot see.
The salt burns around my eyes grow redder as I sink.
It's growing darker, and I cease to think.
Even I, even I can't be trusted.
Even I, even I can't be trusted.
Hold up, I think I've got something.
I've lost it. I've lost it. I've lost it.
I've lost it all.
The dirt on the ground and the trees in the air
I am looking for something, but I can't remember.
We found a new way baby, It'll be okay
Let's hope it's not a trap this time. (this time, this time, this time)
I hear earth-shaking footsteps as they hit the ground
If there are horses, I am turning around.
If we grow at all, take it to heart
But if we don't keep running, they'll tear us apart.
I've wasted my life on waking us up.
I've thrown all my minutes in car seats and trees.
We carry the moon and unearth buried cars.
I swear I'll break all these mirrors and you'll have to pick up the shards.
You'll have to live with the scars.
Close your eyes for just a moment.
Hold your breath until it's over.
